Organization: Pharmacy Services Job Summary: Performs tasks within the department which directly support the ongoing duties and responsibilities of the pharmacist(s). Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of medications while under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triages calls to the appropriate person if he/she cannot answer the requested information. Applies departmental processes, as guided by corporate initiatives, regarding inventory control. . Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician PRN! Position Highlights Shifts hours vary based on pharmacy needs. Pharmacy hours of operation are 7:00am - 7:00pm Monday - Friday and 7:00am - 5:00pm Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered. Allied health is among the fastest growing occupations in healthcare today. Responsibilities

  • Assists the pharmacist(s) in the preparation of medications.
  • Assists the pharmacist(s) in the distribution of medications.
  • Assists the pharmacist(s) in processes regarding inventory control.
  • Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
  • Familiar with organization and function of all units.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills, empathy, and unconditional positive regard toward all patients and co-workers.
  • Establishes measurable yearly goals and objectives.
