PRN position to cover sick time/vacation/PTO in the pharmacy - not full time hours. Put your pharmacy skills to use in a different environment! The ideal candidate will use their excellent customer service skills to serve both hospital discharge patients (meds to beds) and loyal regulars. It's retail pharmacy...with a twist. Requirements

• High School Degree or GED
• Valid ExCPT Certification provided by the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy (required)
• Previous experience working in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy (preferred)
• Ability to be proactive in a rapidly changing environment
• Engage with staff and patients in a professional manner
• Possesses problem-solving skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Requires knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medication names, and aseptic technique

Responsibilities

• Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
• Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with the guidelines of the General Pharmaceutical Council
• Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine
• Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
• Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
• Other duties as assigned
