About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician Lead Certified Acute Care performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe, efficient, and cost-effective services. Working under limited supervision, this role maintains quality of workflows, regulatory standards, and other complex pharmacy processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 7 years. Successful completion (graduation) of CH accredited technician training program is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician and must complete an 'advanced pharmacy technician certification' within 12 months of starting the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintains pharmacy workflow; including but not limited to compounding hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications, distribution of medication in compliance with current standards or obtaining a complete and accurate medication history based on organization standard.
• Serves as a reference for other pharmacy technicians.
• Serves as a mentor in the training and orientation of new employees. Leads and implements process improvement and departmental quality initiatives.
• Communicates effectively with team members in and outside of pharmacy, providing quality customer service.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
