Certified Pharmacy Technician, Compounding

About The Position

We are looking for dependable Certified Pharmacy Technicians to join our non-sterile compounding department. In this role, you will work alongside our pharmacy team to prepare compounded medications and help maintain and advance an amazing, modern, and innovative pharmacy service. As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will maintain accurate records, stay up to date with required training, and play a key role in supporting a safe, efficient, and impactful pharmacy team at the heart of delivering exceptional care to our patients.

Requirements

Current registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio and active national certification (CPhT).
Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations related to the practice of pharmacy.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Availability to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, consisting of four 10-hour shifts.

Nice To Haves

1 + year of compounding experience or equivalent pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

Adhere to site SOPs, USP <795> and <800> standards, and all state and federal regulations while following safety and environmental procedures, including proper PPE use during daily tasks.
Compound non-sterile medications and maintain accurate compounding records.
Clean and maintain the compounding lab and overall pharmacy work environment, including equipment and work counters.
Communicate with pharmacists, report lab-related issues, and provide quality assurance support to the Pharmacist in Charge.
Receive and verify delivered orders; restock medication shelves and supply bins; rotate inventory; remove outdated medications; and maintain accurate stock records.
Assist with record keeping and report efficiency metrics to the Pharmacist in Charge.
