About The Position

The Certified Pharmacy Patient Advocate Specialist II plays a crucial role in assisting patients and healthcare providers with medication access. This position focuses on conducting benefits investigations, enrolling patients in assistance programs, and ensuring that patients receive the medications they need through effective coordination with various stakeholders.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire.
• Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs benefits investigations for specified clinic or medications.
• Obtains insurance prior authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Coordinates with manufacturer assistance programs for under/uninsured patients.
• Acts as a liaison between the patient, clinic and/or infusion center, pharmacy, third party payor, and/or drug manufacturer.
• Works collaboratively with clinical pharmacists and care team.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
