Requirements

  • Certified Peer Support Specialist credential required.
  • Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in community settings.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide peer-based support to individuals with mental health or substance use challenges.
  • Share your lived experience to inspire, encourage, and guide clients.
  • Meet clients in the community, at home, or wherever support is needed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement person-centered plans.
  • Document interactions and progress in accordance with agency policies.
