About The Position

Immediate openings for Full and Part time Certified Peer Specialists in Augusta and surrounding areas. LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE, APPLY TODAY! Candidates must meet job and residency requirements for this role. Valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation is required. The mission of this role is to serve as a second responder providing community-based, face-to-face, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis. This service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. MCRS is provided in community settings including, but not limited to: homes, residential settings, other treatment/support settings, schools, hospital emergency departments, jails, and social service settings.

Requirements

• Georgia CPS certification and High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with consumers with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
• Must be computer literate and proficient.
• General competencies in communication, quality of work, productivity, and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual preferred.
• Experience in conflict management and emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based, face-to-face, rapid response to individuals in crisis.
• Respond to mobile dispatches throughout the shift using personal vehicle.
• Engage in frequent in-person interactions with clients.
• Utilize standard office equipment and virtual meeting software.
• Maintain communication and teamwork with other professionals.
