About The Position

Immediate openings for Full and Part time Certified Peer Specialists in Athens and surrounding areas. This role serves as a second responder providing community-based, face-to-face, rapid response to children and adults with behavioral health conditions, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an active state of crisis. This service operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is provided in community settings including homes, residential settings, other treatment/support settings, schools, hospital emergency departments, jails, and social service settings.

Requirements

• Georgia CPS certification and High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with consumers with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders.
• Must be computer literate and proficient.
• General competencies in communication, quality of work, productivity, and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual preferred.
• Experience in conflict management and emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Provide community-based, face-to-face, rapid response to individuals in crisis.
• Respond to mobile dispatches throughout the shift using personal vehicle.
• Engage in frequent in-person interactions with clients.
• Utilize standard office equipment and virtual meeting software.
• Maintain communication and teamwork with colleagues.
