About The Position

Designs and facilitates recovery-based services and supports to assist individuals in achieving personal recovery goals Offers assistance with daily living, emotional and social support, and connections to clinical care and community resources Utilizes personal recovery experience, when appropriate, to encourage and inspire hope Leads and coordinates recovery-related groups, teaching coping skills, relaxation techniques, and wellness strategies Mentors clients/residents through the recovery process by promoting empowerment, goal-setting, and self-advocacy Educates clients/residents on available peer services, rights processes, advance directives, and supplemental support programs Assists with completing forms and applications for resources such as residential state supplement programs This is an hourly position and is in the OCSEA, with a pay range of 27 on the OCSEA Pay Schedule. Working hours are Monday- Friday from 8am-5pm and on the weekends as needed This position is located within our Summit Behavioral Healthcare Location at 1101 Summit Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45237 Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after 120 days of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter

Requirements

  • Requires current certification as Peer Recovery Supporter in accordance with OAC 5122.29.15.
  • Official transcripts are required for all post-secondary education, coursework, or degrees listed on the application. Applicants must submit an official transcript before receiving a formal employment offer. Failure to provide transcripts within five (5) business days of the request will result in disqualification from further consideration. Transcripts printed from the institution's website will not be accepted.
  • DBH reserves the right to evaluate the academic validity of the degree-granting institution
