It includes a 473-bed community teaching hospital, a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport, a large multispecialty provider group, and special needs services for adults and children. St. Vincent’s is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and is the system’s second-largest hospital. JOB SUMMARY Under the supervision of a Nurse Leader and the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Certified Patient Care Tech 4 is responsible for performing specific duties that support patient care, which includes direct and indirect patient care activities that are essential to providing a safe and efficient care environment. This position performs selected interventions and activities that contribute to providing comprehensive care to patients in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards, policies, and procedures. In addition, along with the care team, this position is responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience. This role performs in a high activity work environment with multiple priorities and necessitates flexibility in scheduling. This role requires CPCT/A, EMT or CMA certification, experience with EKG and phlebotomy, and is considered an advanced PCT resource for their assigned unit.
