About The Position
Banner Baywood Medical Center is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join our Medical Surgical Orthopedic Unit. Our orthopedic suite is comprised of 28 beds when fully occupied. Our patient population is very broad and can be 18 years of age to end of life. This unit specializes in all types of orthopedic complaints that require both elective and emergency intervention varying from, but not inclusive to, total hip arthroplasty, total knee arthroplasty, and shoulder arthroplasty. We also provide overflow from our large medical surgical department with common diagnoses such as pneumonia, infection management, wound care, post op gynecological or urological procedures, new ostomy site management. Therefore, we offer a diverse medical surgical experience incomparable to most other generalized medical surgical units. This is a full time night shift position working from 7pm-7:30am. Rotating weekend/holidays required. Enjoy a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18%-night shift differential when applicable.
