Banner University Medical Center Tucson is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to join their Surgical Oncology Unit. The mission of Banner Health is to make health care easier, so life can be better. The abdominal transplant/surgical oncology unit is a 24-bed unit that cares for abdominal transplant (e.g., kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants) and surgical oncology patients. The Patient Care Assistant will be involved in providing care that improves patient outcomes and experience in this fast-paced unit, which recently expanded from 14 to 24 beds. The position is full-time, night shift (6pm-6:30am), and requires weekend rotations. It includes a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential and an 18% night shift differential when applicable. This position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care, and is responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in medical records, along with various unit support functions for efficient operation.
