About The Position

Certified Orthotics Fitter Gray, TN Description Hands-on patient clinical care (fitting and applying orthoses) Physical assessment Orthotic requirement assessment Verification of prescription / documentation Consultation with and/or referral to other health care professionals Adjustments to accommodate individual anatomic contours Patient education and instruction Compliance with practice management plans to develop and document policies and procedures to ensure patient well-being which includes, but is not limited to: - Adherence to applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations - Following patient care guidelines and procedures - Maintaining a safe and professional environment for patient care - Comprehension of claims development and submission Brightree patient entry Insurance guidelines and verification Insurance Prior Authorization submittals to Billing Department. ICD 10 coding Manage spinal & cervical brace inventory (order, stock, and monthly reports) for Johnson City Medical Center, Franklin Woods Community Hospital, and Laughlin Memorial Hospital. Manage Continuum facility tickets and clinical documentation for billing-ready entry. Future expansion and upgrade of Continuum into several new facilities. Manage Continuum physical inventory Confirmation of all Spinal Program delivery tickets Maintain good working relationships with all team members Educate team members with all aspects pertaining to orthotic devices Conduct quarterly in-services with team members and physicians Coordinate care and services with Acute Inpatient Therapy department. Coordinate stock and fitting responsibilities with Central Supply Services and Excel Consulting relationship with ordering physicians Manage Spinal Program on-call scheduling for Johnson City Medical Center and Franklin Woods Community Hospital with direct reporting to Director of Orthopedic Services Manage facility billing for all unbillable orthotic service
