About The Position

The Ophthalmic Assistant is responsible for assisting the provider with back office duties in the outpatient management of patients. This will include obtaining patient history and chief complaint, completing basic work up exam and ancillary testing per physician orders and protocol. They may assist with in-office procedures as appropriate and in accordance with scope of practice.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Current MA-C, or must obtain MA-R within 60 days of hire
  • One (1) year of experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant
  • Pediatric experience preferred or at minimum a strong desire to work with and help children
