To assist the ophthalmologist in eye examinations and outpatient surgical procedures; to perform moderately complex tests and evaluations and record results.
High School diploma or its equivalent.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families and employees.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent customer interaction skills.
Certification as an Ophthalmic Technician, prefererd.
Two years of college with courses in ophthalmic technology and/or the health science area is desirable.
Certification at the Certified Ophthalmic Technician level, preferred.
