About The Position
Calling all OJT Teachers!! Richard Milburn Academy seeks a Certified OJT Teacher for the 2026/2027 School Year!! (Must hold active certification) EXCELLENT BENEFIT PACKAGE!! JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for delivering high-quality education while also guiding and mentoring On-the-Job Training (OJT) students. This role involves creating an engaging learning environment for all students and providing practical training and support to OJT participants as they develop their skills in an educational setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification.
- Strong knowledge of subject matter and contemporary educational practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
- Proficiency in technology for teaching and classroom management.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience in mentoring or overseeing OJT programs is a plus.
- Prior experience or formal training in working with “at-risk” students preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet state standards and the school's curriculum for regular students.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages active participation, respect, and collaboration among all students, including OJT participants.
- Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and observations while providing constructive feedback to facilitate growth.
- Develop and adapt instructional methods to meet the diverse learning needs of both regular students and OJT participants, including differentiation strategies.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and faculty about progress, classroom activities, and expectations for both traditional students and OJT trainees.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve educational practices, share resources, and enhance the learning experience for all students.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Principal.
