The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) are responsible for treating patients with therapeutic and self-care activities based on physician and provider orders. COTAs help patients improve their quality of life by finding solutions to their problems and improving motor skills needed for daily living activities. They work alongside licensed Occupational Therapists, treating patients with limited mobility, closely recording treatments, and coordinating occupational therapy with other therapeutic activities within a hospital or rehabilitation setting. Landmark Hospitals is a privately owned hospital system with locations in Georgia and Missouri, licensed as acute care hospitals and certified as long-term acute care hospitals. They specialize in providing transitional care for medically complex patients, approaching them holistically with a multi-disciplinary team, and are recognized as regional Transitional Care Hospitals of choice.
