About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our home health team. In this role, you will provide short-term skilled nursing care and therapy to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys making a positive impact on the lives of others while supporting individuals who are unable to leave their homes for therapy or nursing care.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and treatment techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow treatment plans and document client progress accurately
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with clinical teams
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong time-management skills
  • Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community
  • Physically and mentally able to perform all job responsibilities
  • Completion of a background check is required. Acknowledging or having criminal convictions does not constitute an automatic bar to employment
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • State licensure or certification as a COTA

Responsibilities

  • Provide home health occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist individuals of all ages with physical, mental, or emotional challenges that affect their ability to perform daily living tasks.
  • Implement personalized therapeutic programs and interventions to improve functional independence and enhance the quality of life for patients.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic activities and strategies to maintain progress at home
