About The Position

This position Is responsible for direct treatment and patient/family education as directed by the treatment plan developed by a Registered Occupational Therapist. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.
This position works under the supervision of Registered Occupational Therapist and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited AOTA approved occupational therapy assistant program.
• COTA - Cert Occupational Therapy license in State of Missouri.
• Heartsaver certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Treats patients using a variety of modalities and procedures under treatment plan formulated by an Occupational Therapist.
• Provides patient/family education.
• Documents patient’s response to treatment program, communicating with provider, Occupational Therapist, and other interdisciplinary team members, and entering charges.
• Participates in staff meetings, family conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Participates in continual process improvement.
