Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Pediatric Care (1+ years)
  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
  • Allscripts Enterprise EHR
  • Allscripts Professional EHR
  • Other EMR
  • Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of Michigan (MI)

Responsibilities

  • Implements and executes an individualized client treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Addresses client needs relative to daily living, motor and play skills, sensory integration, and more to promote independence.
  • Communicates with clients, families, referring physicians, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and other members of the team.
  • Provides timely documentation per company and department requirements.
  • Provides timely written documentation as required by insurance provider to meet licensing, certification, regulatory, and reimbursement requirements.
  • Attends weekly ancillary service meetings with other professionals.
  • Reports any changes in client status or treatment needs to Supervising Occupational Therapist when appropriate.
  • Meets or exceeds the productivity standards as established by the company.
  • Uses professional judgment to ensure safety of self, clients, and other professionals.
  • Maintains quality client care through interdisciplinary communication.
  • Effectively communicates with Supervising Occupational Therapists concerning clients’ response to treatment plan.
  • Attends in -services, training sessions or other meetings relevant to efficient and effective treatment services.
  • Coordinates treatment goals with other team members.
  • Maintains valid licensure, certification or equivalent as requested by appropriate state agency.
