About The Position

The Occupational Therapy Assistant at Rehab America plays a crucial role in delivering therapeutic treatments to patients with injuries or disabilities. This position focuses on implementing treatment plans developed by Occupational Therapists, ensuring effective communication with patients and their families, and maintaining a clean and organized treatment environment. The role emphasizes collaboration within a supportive team and adherence to state regulations and professional standards.

Requirements

  • Certification and active License as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from the state of employment.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Current State of Tennessee Driver's license.
  • Current Auto liability Insurance according to Company Policy.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and executing treatment of all patients as prescribed by a state-approved referral source.
  • Delivering treatment to achieve identified objectives in occupational therapy evaluations.
  • Documenting progress against identified objectives appropriately.
  • Maintaining records and filing in a timely manner.
  • Communicating patient status and needs to patients, their families, staff, and other professionals.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment, treatment areas, and storage areas in an orderly and sanitary condition.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with each patient, facility staff, and family members.
  • Following all regulations pertaining to the State Practice Acts and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
