Requirements

  • Current, valid California COTA License in good standing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for geriatric rehabilitation and resident advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality therapeutic treatments as directed by the supervising OTR, helping residents master Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and regain their independence.
  • Ensure all treatments align with physician-approved plans and document daily progress with precision according to the OT Board State Practice Act.
  • Assist in training Restorative Aides and provide in-service education to ensure a 24/7 rehabilitative environment.
  • Maintain open, proactive lines of communication with the OTR, nursing staff, and families regarding resident goals and successes.
  • Educate families and caregivers on maintenance programs and functional strategies to ensure a safe transition home.
