Requirements

  • Must hold a current and valid California license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

  • Implementation of Care: Assist Occupational Therapists in executing customized treatment plans aimed at improving residents' ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Direct Therapy: Conduct therapeutic treatments with a focus on quality and compliance with all facility and regulatory guidelines.
  • Clinical Monitoring: Closely monitor resident progress, document significant changes in condition, and maintain constant communication with the supervising OT regarding outcomes.
  • Education: Empower residents and their families by teaching specific occupational therapy techniques and exercises that support a safe and successful recovery.
  • Environment Management: Maintain a high standard of safety and cleanliness in the therapy gym, ensuring all equipment is in peak functional condition.
