At CareAparent you will work with other passionate individuals focused on giving the best care possible for our clients. The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement a care plan for rehabilitation. At CareAparent we are a team. Our Case Management model ensures you will receive timely training and support to help you provide the best care possible. The COTA helps clients perform the exercises and mobility techniques as set forth in the care plan developed by the Occupational Therapist.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current and valid COTA License in Minnesota
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously

Nice To Haves

  • Medicare experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Implement client treatment plans with guidance from the Occupational Therapist
  • Instruct patients on occupational therapy interventions, modalities, and home exercise programs
  • Provide treatment / interventions for patients that allows for excellent patient outcomes
  • Communicate patient progress or problems to Therapy Manager and other team members; assist with patient scheduling
  • Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
