Provides direct and indirect Occupational Therapy services to inpatients and outpatients in the pediatric (1 year old and over), adolescent, adult and geriatric populations. Employee has responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital Fish Memorial Corporate Compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state and federal agencies and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

Requirements

  • Associate Required
  • Must be proficient in computer use, and comfortable with the EMR.
  • Registered Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Nice To Haves

  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Regularly participates in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships.?Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures/speaking, and/or other extension of clinical expertise to the community
  • Implements treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Uses appropriate therapy procedures, documents data, and follows individualized care plans set by the occupational therapist.
  • Provides patient and family education, including home exercise programs for treatment carryover into the discharge setting.
  • Conducts age-appropriate assessments and interventions, completing annual age-specific competencies relevant to the scope of care.
