Schedule: PRN Shift :Days - weekend/holiday coverage as well as weekday availability Location: AdventHealth Daytona Beach - Inpatient Rehab The community you'll be caring for: 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, Daytona Beach, 32117 The role you'll contribute: Responsible for providing direct and indirect occupational therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist in a professional manner and within hospital standards. This position delivers therapy aimed at improving patients' functional abilities and quality of life and adheres to the corporate compliance plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.

Requirements

  • Associate [Required]
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Nice To Haves

  • National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) [Preferred]

Responsibilities

  • Implements treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist; and through consideration of practice standards, recommended techniques, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.
  • Uses appropriate therapy procedures, documents data, and follows individualized care plans set by the occupational therapist.
  • Provides patient and family education, including home exercise programs for treatment carryover into the discharge setting.
  • Supports consumer marketing and public awareness through participation in community events, educational lectures, and other extensions of clinical expertise to the community.
  • Conducts age-appropriate assessments and interventions, completing annual age-specific competencies relevant to the scope of care.
  • Acts as a clinical instructor and provides mentorship to students and new staff, fostering a supportive and educational environment.
