Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - PRN - Inpatient Therapy (1296)
About The Position
To provide Occupational Therapy services to patients in an Inpatient Rehab setting. Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing appropriate treatment plans to promote the optimal outcomes for patients with a wide range of injuries and ages. Communicates regularly with the Occupational Therapist to support the interdisciplinary plan of care, including therapy goals, patient progress, and discharge recommendations. Coordinates patient care with an interdisciplinary team that includes but is not limited to: physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, speech therapists, nurses, etc. Demonstrates the ability to work in a dynamic environment, with strong organizational and time management skills. A compassionate professional who encourages and inspires their patients to work toward greater independence and recovery
Requirements
- Appropriate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
- Current, valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license (or eligibility for licensure) in the state of Mississippi
- American Red Cross BLS

- Clinical experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, or outpatient settings preferred.
