About The Position

In collaboration with, and under the direction and supervision of an occupational therapist, helps each patient develop, recover and improve the skills needed for daily living and working, through the therapeutic use of everyday activities and excercise, oulined in an established care plan.

Requirements

Graduate of and degree holder from an Occupational Therapy Assistant Education Program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education
Current Arkansas OTA license in good standing required
Current CPR certification
Must have the ability to: communicate effectively, orally and in writing; focus with attention to detail, solve problems and make decisions; show compassion to those in pain/functional loss; handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure.
Must be able to stand and walk, and bend, stoop and twist, push, pull and occasionally lift up to 250lbs for up to 8 hours each day.
Requires repetitive hand movements.
Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity with or without correction.
Must have good manual dexterity.
Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and PC mouse to utilize computer software for patient care documentation.
