Requirements

Active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA license (or pending)
Strong teamwork skills and compassionate, patient-centered approach
Commitment to high-quality, functional rehabilitation in a skilled nursing setting

Responsibilities

Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Provide hands-on treatment to improve ADL function, fine motor skills, upper extremity strength/coordination, cognition, and functional independence
Train residents and families in adaptive equipment, compensatory strategies, and energy conservation techniques
Motivate and encourage residents during therapy sessions
Document patient progress accurately and in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Collaborate closely with the OT, nursing, and interdisciplinary team
