About The Position

Sangre de Cristo Community Care is looking for a Full Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team and serve patients in Pueblo and Canon City, Colorado. Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Successful completion of an Associate Degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant accredited program and shall at minimum possess a current certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBOT).
  • Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Colorado.
  • Must have a valid non-restricted driver’s license.
  • Flexibility and availability to work a weekend schedule if needed.
  • Two years of appropriate experience as a COTA.
  • Willing to visit patients throughout Otero and surrounding counties.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer experience with physical rehabilitation either through educational affiliations or prior work associations.

Responsibilities

  • Provides therapy under the treatment plans and supervision of the licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Completes visit notes accurately and timely.
  • Reviews patient’s injury/diagnosis and takes necessary precautions for observing indications and contraindications.
  • Keeps the supervising therapist informed of patient status, problem areas, progress, etc.
