Responsible for assisting the occupational therapist (OT) in implementing the plan of care and treatment programs to maximize the patient’s/resident’s functional skills. Performs treatments commensurate with education and training utilizing exercise, functional activities, self-care (ADL’s), community reintegration, homemaking tasks, vocational and avocational skills, fabrication, fit and training of adaptive equipment or durable medical equipment. Assists in providing education related to the treatment program, disease process, and prevention of further injuries to the patient/resident, family/caregiver and other members of the healthcare team. Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • AA degree from a school or college approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Licensed by the State of Montana as an OTA.
  • Temporary licensure as governed by the State Practice Act.
  • Current BCLS certification.
