About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their rehab team at St. John’s United, a highly respected Continuing Care Retirement Community in Billings, MT. This role offers the opportunity to provide therapy across a full continuum of care, creating variety, stability, and meaningful patient relationships. The position comes with a $5,000 Sign-On or Relocation Bonus and a competitive full-time pay range of $33–$37/hr, based on experience. Flexible options for Part-Time or PRN are also available. The COTA will work with a diverse caseload across Independent Living, Assisted Living, Outpatient Therapy, and Transitional Care, supported by strong leadership and a collaborative rehab team. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited school.
  • Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Current state licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting (hospital, clinic, school, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering individualized therapy based on treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist, including activities to improve daily living skills (e.g., dressing, eating, mobility).
  • Track and document patient progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with facility policies, and report changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams (e.g., PT, OT, nursing) to provide holistic care, and educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies for independence.
  • Lead or assist patients with exercises, activities of daily living, and other therapeutic tasks, while creating a positive and supportive environment to encourage patient engagement.
