About The Position

This COTA role is all about practical impact: helping patients practice the skills they need to manage life more independently. You’ll work closely with an OT, deliver hands-on sessions, and document outcomes so the care plan stays clear and effective.

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited OTA program
  • Active COTA license in Connecticut
  • NBCOT certification in good standing
  • Comfortable working with different patient needs and pacing
  • Reliable attendance and professional communication

Responsibilities

  • Carry out occupational therapy interventions under OT supervision
  • Support patients with self-care tasks, strength, balance, and fine motor goals
  • Adapt activities to match a patient’s abilities and safety needs
  • Track progress and complete daily documentation accurately
  • Communicate with the OT and care team to keep treatment moving forward
  • Follow clinic policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards
