About The Position
This COTA role is all about practical impact: helping patients practice the skills they need to manage life more independently. You’ll work closely with an OT, deliver hands-on sessions, and document outcomes so the care plan stays clear and effective.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited OTA program
- Active COTA license in Connecticut
- NBCOT certification in good standing
- Comfortable working with different patient needs and pacing
- Reliable attendance and professional communication
Responsibilities
- Carry out occupational therapy interventions under OT supervision
- Support patients with self-care tasks, strength, balance, and fine motor goals
- Adapt activities to match a patient’s abilities and safety needs
- Track progress and complete daily documentation accurately
- Communicate with the OT and care team to keep treatment moving forward
- Follow clinic policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards
