Requirements

  • Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant License

Responsibilities

  • Patient Treatment: Deliver patient care per the directives of the overseeing Occupational Therapist and physician treatment plans.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily treatment notes and weekly progress reports in compliance with OT Board requirements.
  • Communication: Foster clear communication with supervisors and healthcare team members concerning patient progress and treatment plans.
  • Training Support: Assist the nursing department by training Restorative Aides and educating patient families or staff on maintenance programs and caregiver training.
  • Discharge Planning: Actively participate in discharge planning as required.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Report any issues with departmental equipment to ensure proper functioning and hygiene in the treatment areas.
