East Bay Post Acute is looking for a dedicated and energetic Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our premier in-house therapy team in Castro Valley. Requirements

  • A current and valid California Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License.
  • A compassionate, "patient-first" mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to grow within a premier post-acute setting.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans as directed by the OT and physician, focusing on functional ADL recovery.
  • Maintain detailed daily treatment notes and weekly progress reports in full compliance with OT Board and payer requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and the interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress and discharge goals.
  • Train Restorative Aides, instruct nursing staff, and provide vital caregiver training to families to ensure a safe transition home.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized treatment area and report any equipment issues to ensure a high-functioning gym.
  • Build positive, professional relationships with residents and families, acting as a key partner in their recovery journey.
