About The Position

This role involves providing in-home therapy to help participants regain or maintain their abilities for independent living, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), range of motion, and strength. Our COTAs follow a treatment plan and established therapy guidelines to achieve these goals. This position requires home visits in the community. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the federal rate. Community LIFE is a program of all-inclusive care for the elderly, committed to empowering older adults to remain at home while preserving their dignity, independence and quality of life. Our program brings the region’s experts in geriatric medicine and care together to work as a team in specialized Day Centers, to help older adults enjoy the highest quality of life possible. Our professionals are committed to keeping older adults independent, and in their homes. Our wide range of services are designed to meet the varied needs of seniors, and include medical care, social services, meals, activities, transportation and much more.

Requirements

SUCCESSFUL OTA/L PROGRAM COMPLETION APPROVED BY THE NATIONAL BOARD FOR CERTIFICATION IN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY.
MINIMUM OF ONE YEAR WORKING WITH THE FRAIL OR ELDER POPULATION.
CURRENT OTA LICENSURE ISSUED BY THE STATE OF PA.
VALID PA DRIVER’S LICENSE (AND RELIABLE VEHICLE)
ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE CLINICAL COMPETENCY WITH THE GERIATRIC POPULATION.
INITIATIVE AND RESOURCEFULNESS.
DISCRETION, TACT, PATIENCE, AND GOOD JUDGMENT.
EMPATHETIC AND COMPASSIONATE ATTITUDE IN CARING FOR THE ELDERLY.
