About The Position

Under general supervision the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Instructor will instruct prepares individuals to perform routine nursing-related services to patients in hospitals or long-term care facilities; under the training and supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The program includes instruction in infection control, communication and interpersonal skills, safety and emergency procedures, personal care skills, and basic nursing skills. Direct patient care training & instruction is facilitated in the classroom, lab and clinical settings. Supervises CNA students at Clinical sites as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain an Arizona Department of Education Secondary or Career & Technical Education (CTE) Certification in the area of Industrial and Emerging Technologies https://www.azed.gov/educator-certification/forms-and-information/certificates
• Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of one-year clinical experience with supervision of certified nursing assistants
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.

• One-year long-term care experience preferred
