About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) involves providing essential care and support to patients throughout the hospital. The role focuses on assisting with personal needs, general bedside nursing care, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. CNAs will work closely with healthcare staff and may also provide specialized care for patients in behavioral health settings.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Six months of recent full-time work experience involving bedside care of patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation hospital, or professional setting, or successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program within the past two years.

• Bilingual candidates are highly desired.
• Willingness to work in the acute behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general bedside nursing care such as bathing, shaving, dressing, and feeding patients.
• Ambulate, reposition, and transport patients as needed.
• Take vital signs and assist healthcare staff with dressing changes and procedures.
• Change bed linens and observe patients, reporting any changes in their conditions to the nurse in charge.
• Provide one-to-one or two-to-one direct patient observations to ensure patient safety, especially in behavioral health settings.

Benefits

• Modified Benefit Option (MBO) for higher hourly pay for eligible classifications.
• Inpatient assignment compensation of $1.50 per hour for those assigned to ARMC Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit.
