Assisting Hands Home Care is now hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) with hands-on experience caring for clients affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related conditions. Positions are available for weekend shifts in Centreville and surrounding communities, with other shifts and locations open across Manassas, and Gainesville. Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant license in Virginia
- Experience with Alzheimer’s and dementia care (all stages)
- Current CPR certification and negative TB screening
- Ability to pass a background check (per VA HCO regulations)
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of insurance
- Physically able to lift 25 lbs. and provide mobility support
Responsibilities
- Provide quality care and personal assistance for dementia and Alzheimer’s clients
- Support safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility
- Help with bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding
- Offer meaningful companionship and cognitive engagement
- Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation
- Assist with medication reminders and care documentation
- Maintain safety and a calm environment for all clients
