About The Position
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Full-Time Facility: Gateway Post Acute Location: Porterville, CA Pay Range: $17.00 – $20.00 per hour (BOE) Status: Full-Time Shifts Available: All Shifts (AM / PM / NOC) Make a Difference in the Lives of Others—Every Shift Gateway Post Acute is a premier skilled nursing facility that has proudly served the Porterville community for over 40 years. We are currently seeking Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for all shifts. If you are caring, dependable, and passionate about resident care, we would love to welcome you to our team. General Purpose The primary purpose of the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is to provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents in accordance with each resident’s assessment and care plan, and as directed by nursing supervisors.
Requirements
- Current, active California CNA certification
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, reliable, and professional demeanor
- Ability to follow directions and facility policies

Responsibilities
- Provide routine daily care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Report all changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse promptly
- Accurately document care provided on flow sheets, charts, and electronic medical records
- Measure and record vital signs (TPRs) as assigned
- Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
- Ensure residents’ comfort, safety, and dignity at all times
- Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident needs
- Assist with restorative and rehabilitative care as directed
- Maintain a clean, calm, and safe resident environment
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other departments
- Participate in shift reports and communicate effectively with the care team
- Perform other duties as assigned
