Requirements

Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant Certification is required
Required to work a minimum of three shifts per month
Required to work at least one holiday per year

Responsibilities

Helping with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote hygiene and comfort
Assisting residents with walking, transferring, and positioning to prevent bedsores and help maintain mobility and independence
Assisting residents at meals with eating and drinking, ensuring they are following their dietary requirements
Regularly measuring and recording vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration and promptly reporting any concerns to the nursing team
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of resident's care, observations, and changes in condition
Providing emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting social engagement and a sense of belonging
Ensuring a safe environment by keeping resident areas free from hazards and following infection control protocols
Positively interacting with resident families and promptly addressing any concerns
Continuing to learn and improve knowledge and skills by staying updated with training and certifications
Advocating for residents to ensure their needs are communicated and addressed with the care team
Following all guidelines related to confidentiality and HIPAA
Performing other duties to support the effective operations of the healthcare department
