About The Position

This is a PRN Position in Med/Surg Compensation Range: $20.94 to $28.55 - hourly/paid bi-weekly Position Classification: Non-Exempt ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Supervisory-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities: N/A Position-Specific Performance Expectations, Duties, and Responsibilities: Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Performs delegated and ancillary basic nursing skills, including activities of daily living, monitoring of patient condition, body mechanics, providing nutritional support, and other standards of care, policies, and procedures. Documents care as provided. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and take appropriate action. Communicates clearly, honestly, appropriately, and in a timely manner with patients, families, and care team members. Completes documentation of care/behaviors with accuracy according to facility guidelines. Respects the confidentiality of patient information and adheres to HIPAA and facility guidelines. Recognizes and reports changes in the patient’s condition. Demonstrates caring attitudes and behaviors to develop therapeutic relationships. Demonstrates respect, equity, and empathy in actions and interactions with culturally diverse and vulnerable patients. Demonstrates knowledge of facility safety procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Occasional weekend work to support special events. Completes annual education, training, in-service, and licensure/certification requirements; and attends departmental and organizational staff meetings or reads meeting minutes. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Reports to work on time as scheduled; completes work within designated timeframes. Actively participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Strives to uphold regulatory requirements to ensure continual compliance with departmental, hospital, state, and federal regulations and policies. Follows policies and procedures for infection control, safety, and risk management to ensure a safe environment for patients, the public, and staff.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions with a valid driver’s license).
  • Must be able to legally work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable).
  • Must complete employee health meeting.
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent), preferred.
  • Valid Colorado Certified Nursing Assistant Certification, required.
  • Current BLS certification (or must be obtained within 90 days).

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year Nursing Assistant experience, preferred.
  • Med/Surg or Long-Term Care experience, preferred.
