About The Position

Our 34-bed Med Surg unit serves patients of all ages-from infancy to geriatrics-with a wide range of medical conditions, all in a collaborative setting. POSITION SUMMARY As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play a vital role in patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and data collection under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Your responsibilities include:

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program
State of Alaska CNA Licensure upon hire
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment

Responsibilities

Assisting with inpatient care across nursing areas
Safely transporting patients via wheelchair or stretcher
Providing continuous observation for patients requiring enhanced safety measures
Performing general receptionist and clerical duties to support unit operations
