PRN - Certified Nursing Assistant
About The Position
The PRN Certified Nursing Assistant is specially trained to give personal care and help the patient achieve a good quality of life through encouragement, social contact, companionship, and reassurance, under the guidance and supervision of the registered nurse, it also maintains patient confidentiality and promotes patient rights supported by agency, state, and federal directives. Identifies cultural diversity and lifestyle choices and non-judgmentally accommodates for such differences. The PRN Certified Nursing Assistant is committed to the philosophy, goals and objectives of the hospice concept while consistently demonstrating Caring Seasons values and compliance with the organization’s service excellence standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent,
- Current South Carolina Nurse’s Aide certification
- CPR certification.
- Two or more years of experience in hospice, hospital, skilled and assisted living facility, or home health providing direct patient care.
- Ability to successfully interact with a diverse patient population, families, physicians, Caring Seasons staff, and the community at large along with excellent customer service and documentation skills required.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office includes Outlook and database knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- CHPNA preferred.
