About The Position

Join BrightStar Care as an in-home Certified Nursing Assistant and provide 1:1 care to clients in their homes during weekday or weekend mornings, while keeping balance in your life. The role involves providing attentive 1:1 support based on each client’s needs, assisting with daily tasks such as meal prep, hygiene, routine care, bathing, dressing, grooming, and safe movement. Caregivers offer companionship, engagement, and emotional support, and may join clients in community events, outings, and activities, including providing transportation. The position also requires recording clear, accurate care notes, sharing updates with the team, escorting clients to medical visits or social events with a focus on safety, and monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, or overall condition.

Requirements

  • Active CNA certification with 1+ year experience in home care or facility setting
  • Experience with patients requiring assistance with activities of daily living and non-invasive medical support (e.g., catheter care support and output documentation)
  • Skilled with safe transfers and use of mobility assistance equipment per care plan
  • Strong communication with nurses, care teams, and families
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to person-centered care
  • Reliable and dependable with strong professional judgment within CNA scope
  • Comfortable with hands-on personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and transfers
  • CPR/First Aid certified or open to obtain
  • Valid driver license and reliable transportation for local travel

Responsibilities
