About The Position
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Ortho Neuro Unit cares for patients in the hospital setting under direction of nursing staff.
Requirements
- Completion of a CNA program
- Current CNA Certification in applicable state
- Approved CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire
Responsibilities
- Provides patient care within scope of practice, following established standards, shift routines, and policies.
- Responds promptly and appropriately to call lights.
- Accurately documents all care provided.
- Maintains a clean and organized patient and work environment.
- Manages supplies: scanning, stocking, ordering, and disposing of expired/damaged items.
- Floats between units based on patient care needs.
- Participates in unit performance improvement initiatives.
- Assists in training and precepting new team members with educator collaboration.
