About The Position
Adelphi is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide nursing support services in a school setting located in Chesapeake, Virginia. The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed nursing staff and school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.
Requirements
- Valid CNA state certification
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current CPR/AED certification
- Experience: Medication Administration, electronic health records (EHR), and basic first aid triage.
- Skills: Willingness to learn to care for students with tracheostomy, suctioning, seizures, G-tubes, allergy/asthma/oxygen, diabetes, catheterizations, ostomies.
Nice To Haves
- Relevant clinical or school-based experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide support services as assigned within the school setting
- Maintain professional and ethical conduct
- Adhere to HIPAA and FERPA requirements
- Follow District schedules and operational hours
- Notify appropriate personnel of absences
- Comply with all District policies, screenings, and training
- Any other duties as assigned
