This Certified Nursing Assistant role is located at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, WI, within the Stepdown Intermediate Care department, with a PRN (as needed) day schedule.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Nurse Aide credentialed from the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Not required to maintain as the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) does not expire for hospital settings.
Current enrollment in High School and qualification in the Youth Apprenticeship program per School requirements is required.
No experience required

Responsibilities

Support clinical procedures under the guidance of nursing leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient outcomes.
Champion patient dignity by providing compassionate assistance with personal care and daily mobility, ensuring every individual feels respected and comfortable.
Monitor and communicate vital shifts in a patient’s physical or emotional state to the nursing team, serving as a critical set of eyes and ears for patient safety.
Cultivate a clean, organized, and soothing environment for recovery by maintaining room standards that promote healing and reduce stress for patients and their families.
