About The Position

We are seeking a Progressice Care Unit CNA, also referred to PCU Certified Nursing Assistant. This role involves providing direct patient care to individuals who require closer monitoring than on a regular med-surg floor but are not critical enough for the ICU. Shift's Available: Days Employment Type: Per Diem/ PRN Hours: 12-hour shifts - 7:00am to 7:00pm Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX

Requirements

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required.
• Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and record frequent vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, and feeding support
• Turn, reposition, and assist patients with mobility and safe transfers using proper techniques and equipment
• Monitor and document intake and output while observing for and reporting any changes in patient condition
• Support nursing staff in providing high-quality care to patients requiring close observation in a step-down unit
