About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) supports nursing staff by providing basic patient care services focused on resident comfort, safety, and dignity. This role assists residents with activities of daily living and contributes to maintaining a clean, safe, and supportive care environment.

Requirements

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum 10th-grade education.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate care to residents.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when required.
  • Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds and meet all job-related physical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
  • Take and record vital signs and document care provided.
  • Respond to call lights and assist with patient mobility, transfers, and wheelchair transport.
  • Provide oral care, nail care, catheter care, and reposition bedridden residents.
  • Observe and report changes in resident conditions to nursing staff.
  • Clean patient rooms, change bed linens, and maintain a safe environment.
  • Prepare food trays, assist with feeding, and record intake and output.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with resident rights and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
